Community Service Opportunities for Teens at Discovery Place KIDS

Discovery Place KIDSHuntersville is searching for teens ages 12-18 to volunteer at the Museum this summer.
Teens will have the opportunity to serve as Summer Camp assistant teachers working with children from ages 2-7 in camps such as Extreme Construction and A-Z Animals. Or they can serve as a play assistant in our I CAN pretend community while assisting visitors with art, gardening, puppetry and more.
Teens that are interested should complete an online application and return it by February 21st.
Interviews for applicants will be held on March 7, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Discovery Place; 301 N. Tryon St, Charlotte. Teens accepted to the program will be informed no later than March 23rd.
Orientation will take place on Saturday, April 9th from 9:00 a.m. - noon at Discovery Place. Additional site specific training will follow at Discovery Place KIDS during the month of May.
