We at Speedway Children’s Charities are excited to partner with Discovery Place KIDS. We believe this new facility goes right along with our desire to make a difference in a child’s life. This donation allowed us a way to honor emergency responders for their dedication and service to the public. The Guild of Discovery Place and Charlotte Nature Museum was founded in 1961 as a service organization to support the Nature Museum. Over the years, this group of civic-minded women has been instrumental in assisting with the development of Discovery Place, as well as with raising funds and providing countless volunteer hours for both museums. The Guild is proud to be one of the founding donors of Discovery Place KIDS-Huntersville.

The Merancas Foundation is pleased to support Discovery Place KIDS-Huntersville. As a charitable giving organization, the Merancas Foundation focuses on a variety of interests including youth services; food, shelter and clothing; health and wellness, adult education (literacy and vocational training) and disaster relief preparedness. As a family foundation, we are excited to support this Museum serving thousands of local families for whom the education of their young children is their highest priority.
